When I met up with Clare and Chris I guaranteed them good weather but who could have predicted the day we had today?! Here are a few of my favourite images from the first half of the day.
I spent a little while in the gym this evening and I barely broke into a sweat. I was letting Ryan from Apex Fitness and Nutrition and his clients do all the work. Ryan has worked in the gym I frequent for a good few years and I'm pleased to say he has finally gone into business for himself providing personal training and nutrition advice following the completion of his master's degree.
I promised Ryan a few photos for his website in exchange for some PT sessions so let's hope he likes the photos and takes it easy on me!
Here are a few shots from this evening, thanks to Sian and Lucy for agreeing to be photographed.
I'm still playing catch up with my blogging I'm afraid so here is another wedding from this year. Not many words but needless to say Charis and Matt were amazing (my couple's always are!) and the venue (Bibury Court which has now sadly closed) was lovely, we even had sun even though rain had been forecast in the build up to the big day.
Highlights included birght purple dressing gowns, a very proud father of the bride, a stunning setting and some incredible dancing from the flower girls (what is a 'whip nae nae' again...?).
Here are a few of my favourite images from the day back in April.
I constantly thought last year that I needed to get better at blogging weddings. The bad news - I did not follow through on this at all. The good news - I now have lots of lovely weddings to share with you!
The first wedding from 2015 is possibly one of the most special for me personally. I have known Emily from my TV work for many years and she has always said to me that when she got married she would want me to document her day. She also works as an amazing make up artist and can be seen working at a few of my other weddings on the blog. Emily has, and continues to be, so supportive of my work, recommending me to her friends and colleagues and even to her own sister. So when the day came that her lovely boyfriend Tom proposed I hoped she hadn't changed her mind.
Needless to say Emily got in touch and asked me to photograph their wedding and in March last year they held a lovely, personal celebration at the lovely Battleaxes pub near Nailsea in North Somerset. Ever the workaholic, Emily did most of the make up for her bridesmaids, often multitasking (see banana photo) and enlisted friend and regular partner in crime Stacey Jade for hair duty. Flowers from the always amazing Rose Shed, Drawing on Emily's favourite seasonal flowers.
The day was always going to be very personal, a lot of fun and well organised. Emily is a production manager in her television career, these are the people who organise the shoots and deal with the money, so I wasn't surprised to receive a detailed schedule for the day. With styling by The Little Wedding Helper the venue looked great and the happy couple embraced the pub theme with personalised pork scratchings, a pub quiz and of course a massive illuminated sign from Lighthaus Events.
Here are a few of my favourite images from the day.
Happy to kick off the new year with a few images from my shoot today with a gorgeous little man.
This little chap is 3 weeks old today and proved more than a handful as he did his best to lift his head and stretch his legs but we got some great photos of him and his loving parents. Dad is a massive petrol head and had seen an image of a baby in a helmet so I was happy to try and capture something similar.
I don't know who arranged the sun for today but it has been most welcome. Here are a few hastily edited shots from Holly and Adam's day so far.
