So, as the title suggests this is a small but perfectly formed look at Claire & Rich's wedding from May this year which took place at Paintworks in Bristol. I have worked with Claire before in my other life as a TV cameraman and several of her colleagues recommended me to her a s a wedding photographer. I had also briefly met Rich through TV work but they were both so easy going I knew when we met to talk through what they wanted that the day would be relaxed and fun.
I was a little nervous about shooting at Paintworks as some photographer friends had shot here before, loved the venue and captured the day and location perfectly so I was feeling the pressure.
From the moment I turned up at Claire's parents house I was made to feel welcome and invited into the excitement of the day and the warmth of the couple and the family. Everyone was so relaxed in front of the camera and I think this is reflected in the images I came away with.
High points of the day were mother of the brides first (and hugely successful) attempts at flower arranging, Claire's own version of Katy Perry's 'Roar' video, guest's contributions to the cake table and the father of the groom getting very excited on the dance floor when the Ska band started!
